Transporting a coffin can be really expensive, and you may have limited space and times as to when the coffin can be transported, especially when it comes to airline space. Because the cremains are much smaller than a body in a coffin, it is much easier to transport them to where you are or where you want them to be for their final resting place.

3. Memorials

Another reason you might want to go with cremation is that you will be able to use the cremains of your loved one as part of a memorial. That can be something as easy as placing their cremains in a lovely urn or container that reminds you of your loved one. It can also be something as complex as having memorial jewelry made using their cremains. Some services will use part of your loved one's ashes and turn them into glass or other jewelry so that you can wear them and you can share them out with the rest of your family.
